Since the Los Angeles Clippers moved on from Chris Paul over the summer it’s almost been a foregone conclusion for some that DeAndre Jordan was next. The all-star center could opt out of his contract after this season and with the Clippers moving away from the ‘Lob City’ era, DJ seemed like the next target of a deal. Then Blake Griffin was traded. And then the trade deadline passed. So the relationship between the Clippers and DeAndre Jordan should be fine, right?
Well, maybe not. During a recent event for season ticket holders called the ‘Clipper playbook’, team president Lawrence Frank and special advisor were asked questions by ESPN’s Rachel Nichols. Topics ranged from the recent Clippers moves to where the team will go in the future. But the subject of DeAndre Jordan’s contract came up and both Frank and West said that they offered Jordan a contract extension but he denied it. That appeared to be news to DeAndre.

Jordan found out about the news before the Clippers Friday night contest against the Detroit Pistons and sent out that tweet. After the game, he talked about not being sure if he’s wanted by LA.
