Tonight, the long-awaited first return of DeAndre Jordan to Dallas to play the Mavericks will happen. If you haven’t paid attention to any of the news surrounding the situation, well, welcome back from the rock you lived under.
Recently, Mavs owner Mark Cuban stated that he has all the texts saved between he and Jordan and he will reveal them at a later date, to further increase the drama between all parties involved.
But ahead of tonight’s matchup, Jordan spoke to the media and he said he’s treating the game just like any other but he does recognize that the game will have a hostile environment.
Following from Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com.
“Nah, I don’t care. It’s cool,” Jordan said. “It’s just another game. It’s going to be hostile, but it’s supposed to be. It’s cool.”
“It’s going to be fun. At the end of the day, it’s a basketball game, it’s a competition. We’re gonna go out and try to beat them, just like they’re trying to beat us. It’ll be fun.”
Hate to break it to you DJ but it’s going to be far worse than hostile. It might be reaching levels of epic proportions, especially for the first matchup between the two teams in Dallas.
