For years, DeAndre Hopkins has had his face plastered across commercials, NFL posters and billboards. However, his mother may be ready to take over as the star of the family. As reported by Variety, DeAndre Hopkins mother, Sabrina Greenlee, is set to be the star of an upcoming film from BRON Studios. The film will tell the story of Greenlee’s life as a young, single mother who is attacked and left for dead, but manages to find a way to raise her four children. The new movie will be directed by Sam Bailey and written by Kristen Buckley. Chris Bender and Jake Weiner will serve as the film’s producers.
After the announcement was made, Hopkins said, “My mom has always put everyone before herself and sacrificed things unimaginable. Now it’s time for people to see her true value and learn that giving up is not an option.” BRON Studios added, “When I heard the story of this extraordinary woman and her incredible family.”
No major cast announcements have been made as of yet. In addition, the studio has yet to provide a release date. In the meantime, we’ll prepare for Hopkins’ season opener against the New Orleans Saints on September 9th.
