David Rubin has been re-elected as President of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Rubin will also serve as governor of the casting directors branch.
Joining Rubin, Lois Burwell was elected as Chair of the Awards and Events Committee and Larry Karaszewski was elected as Chair of the Preservation and History Committee. In addition, Isis Mussenden will serve as Chair of the Museum Committee and Wynn P. Thomas will act as Chair of the Education and Outreach Committee.
The Academy recently announced that the 2021 Oscars from February 28, 2020 to April 25, 2020. The Governors Awards has also been postponed to a later date. However, there is no word as to how this events would be telecast or if they would take place in person.
