Reports have surfaced of comedian D.L. Hughley falling ill during a comedy show over the weekend. Videos posted on social media throughout Friday night shows Hughley telling a joke as he appears to pass out. Staff at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville rush on stage before taking him off stage. After Hughley was taken off stage, it is unclear if he was taken to the hospital.

This morning, Hughley took to Twitter to let fans know that he is recovering and is in good spirits. He started by first retweeting a statement from blogger and podcaster, Jacque Reid.
“[I] woke up to [see that] D.L. Hughley [is] trending. [I’m] glad that he is okay, but [I] knew he would be because that dude is tough as nails and is serious about his health. He knows how to find humor in everything, so [I’m] looking forward to him joking about this incident,” Reid tweeted.
