Three months stand in between fight fans and the release of Creed III. As the release date nears, Michael B. Jordan and MGM continue to share more news regarding the film. This week, the team behind the boxing saga indicated that the franchise’s third installment will be two hours and 43 minutes. By doing so, it will be the longest film in the growing Rocky spinoff.
Creed III will be the first Creed film in nearly five years. Starring Jordan, Jonathan Majors and Tessa Thompson, it will enter new territory as the first film to move forward without Sylvester Stallone.
“After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed has been thriving in both his career and family life. When childhood friend and former boxing prodigy Damian resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring,” the film’s synopsis reads.
“The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian–a fighter who has nothing to lose.”
Creed III will hit theaters in March 2023. Until then, check out the film’s full-length trailer below.
