Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has suffered a high ankle sprain and there is no immediate timeline on how much time he will miss. He suffered the injury in the team’s Week Ten 27-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Kupp left that game in the fourth quarter with the injury and did not return to the game. The team has struggled this season and Kupp has been a large portion of their offense. A return trip to the NFL Playoffs seems unlikely for the reigning Super Bowl Champions this season.

So far this season with the Los Angeles Rams, Cooper Kupp has caught 75 passes for 812 yards and six touchdowns on 98 targets. He also has nine rushing attempts for 52 yards and one touchdown. With the team unlikely to compete for a playoff spot, it is even more important for the Rams to make sure Kupp is back to 100 percent before he returns to the football field. How swiftly he returns will depend largely on how he recovers from the injury.

It is too early to say, but the team could consider shutting their All-Pro wide receiver down for the season so he can get healthy. Cooper Kupp is important for the team moving into future seasons and risking him in a losing season may not be worth it. We here at Def Pen Sports hope for a quick recovery and a return to the field when Kupp is able.
