Over the past few months, we’ve been picking up on new artists. Throughout the year, we’ve featured new artists like Thutmose, Dele, Cautious Clay and may more. Most recently, we highlighted a new record called “Regal” coming out of Florida. As we enter in 2019, we hope to keep an eye one new artist coming out of New Jersey by the name of Coi Leray.
Earlier this year, the up and coming musician dropped her breakout single, “Huddy”. Since then, she’s come through with new visuals for records like “Never Cared” and “Gold Rush”. More recently, Coi Leray was interviewed at SOB’s and earned a featured on Hot 97’s online series, “Who’s Next?” Most notably, she picked up a feature on the soundtrack to the Hollywood hit, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Closing out the year, Coi Leray has dropped a new video for her song, “Envy (Remix)”.
In the video, Coi Leray and her crew takes it out to Miss T’s Twos in the Garden State. On the new record, Coi Leray raps, “I got here because of y’all. I got here because of me. I don’t want to fall in love. That cuffing sh*t is not for me.” Watch full video above and get ready for an even bigger year from Coi Leray in 2019.
