The Cleveland Cavaliers got destroyed by the hot Atlanta Hawks last night 127-98. They had nothing left in the tank, and played just poorly, while Atlanta was making every shot. Now, David Blatt and LeBron James share very different views on their lost. David Blatt doesn’t like it while captain and basically co-coach LeBron James didn’t mind the loss.
According to Joe Verdon of the Northeast Ohio Media Group:
“I don’t want to get up and walk out of here, that’s not fair to you people, but I don’t have too, too much to say,” Blatt said. “But I will say this. That was embarrassing how we played. I apologize to all the good fans who came out here, as they always do. Really just a poor, poor performance.”
When speaking to LeBron, he mentioned:
when James was asked if he was “embarrassed” by the 29-point shellacking he and his teammates had just endured, he shot back “nah, I’m embarrassed losing the Finals.”
The NBA Finals were not pretty for LeBron James, and yes he was and should be embarrassed by the performance of himself and the Miami Heat, losing to the San Antonio Spurs in 5 games, all of which, we’re not close.
To be honest, LeBron has perspective on the loss. Blatt hasn’t gone to the Finals and lost 3 times, two of them San Antonio Spurs in bad fashion. LeBron James 1- David Blat-0.
