Last year, City Girls dropped a project called Period and they’ve been on the rise ever since. Thanks to a phenomenal placement on Drake’s “In My Feelings”, the group went from rising stars to the next big thing. This Friday, the duo is back with their debut studio album, Girl Code. The project is led by their latest single, “Twerk“, which debuted earlier this month along with a video. The full project features thirteen tracks along with production from Murda Beatz. Not to mention, the group’s solo project also features appearances from Quality Control’s Lil’ Baby and Cardi B. Also, Cash Money’s Jacquees makes a quick appearance on “Give It A Try”. With everything going for them, it only makes sense that the group drops a new project this month.
The City Girls debut album joins other Quality Control albums to drop this fall and winter like Quavo’s Quavo Huncho and Takeoff’s The Last Rocket. Later on, Offset will drop his much anticipated solo album. Who knows? We may also get a new project from Lil’ Baby or Cardi B before the year is up. The only thing we know for certain is that Quality Control has had the year on lock musically from start to finish. Stream the debut album from the City Girls and stay locked in for new visuals to accompany the music.
