The war of words between the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks subsided for a while. There wasn’t much going on after Doc Rivers and Mark Cuban exchanged barbs but right before the two teams took the court for their Thursday night game, Mavs owner Mark Cuban took some shots at the Clippers and their organization.
The game came and went, the Clippers, as expected, blew out the Mavs and for a moment, the issues died. That is, until a question was asked to Chris Paul about the Mavs owner and the pregame comments Cuban made about the Clippers organization.
Following from ESPN’s Arash Marzaki.
No comment from Chris Paul on Cuban's comments. "He has my number. He used to call me all the time when he wanted me to come to Dallas."

Of course, the ‘hotline bling‘ reference is necessary for this one and it sure does fit.
These two teams might have sparked up a new rivalry all over DeAndre Jordan’s decision in the summer. Then again, the Clippers appear to have a rivalry with most Western Conference teams. They have bad blood with Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and the Warriors and recently, Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins expressed his hatred for the Clippers.
It’s as close to official as it can get. The Clippers are the most hated team in the NBA.
