According to the Associated Press, Chris Brown and two other people have been detained by French Police in Paris after a woman filed a rape complaint.
The woman is reported to have met Brown and his friends overnight at club Le Crystal between January 15 and January 16, and says they then all went to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in central Paris, where the alleged rape occurred.
The singer was taken into custody on Monday, January 21, and is facing “potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions.” According to a Paris official, one of Brown’s bodyguards is among the others detained.
Investigators have two more days to decide whether or not to release Brown or to file preliminary charges.
