One of the scariest stories in the NBA last season was the concerning issue with the health of Miami Heat star Chris Bosh, beyond the basketball court.
Bosh was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs, something that former Brooklyn Nets, current Phoenix Suns forward Mirza Teletovic also battled with and it ended both of their seasons prematurely.
It was a shocking revelation because it was just after the All-Star break, a weekend which saw Bosh compete in a litany of events including the All-Star Game and he was seen all over New York talking and greeting fans. An all-around great guy went down with a life-threatening illness.
The Heat went on without Bosh and Hassan Whiteside shined in his absence and they also acquired Goran Dragic but it wasn’t enough. The Heat struggled and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
Bosh battled back all year long and finally it appears that he will be returning.

Spoelstra said Bosh – who missed the second half of last season after a blood clot was discovered on his left lung – will be fully cleared for the first practice, an indicator that the All-Star forward is no longer on bloodthinners. Also expected back for camp is forward Josh McRoberts, who missed nearly the entire 2014-15 season after knee surgery.
Bosh coming back to the Heat makes them a way more dangerous team. We ranked him in the top 10 of our power forwards list and one of our writers even considers him to be one of the top 5 power forwards going into next season.
The Miami Heat are a scary team to think about. They kept Dragic and Dwyane Wade, while also acquiring Justise Winslow in the draft, Gerald Green and Amar’e Stoudemire in the offseason and made some moves to shed some salary. Miami might be the team to challenge LeBron James and the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference.
