The nominations for the 23rd annual Webby awards have been announced. The Webby Awards, “honors excellence in 7 major media types: Websites, Video, Advertising, Media & PR, Social, Apps, Mobile, & Voice, Games, and Podcasts.”
Each nominee is eligible to win two awards; The Webby Award, selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and The Webby People’s Voice Award, which is voted on by fans. The awards ceremony allows fans to vote at vote.webbyawards.com from now until Thursday, April 18 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
Nominees include Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper, Lady Gaga, Leon Bridges, and many more. The music video award category includes “This Is America” by Childish Gambino, “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper from A Star Is Born, A Tribe Called Quest’s “The Space Program,” Leon Bridges’ “Beyond” and “On Your Own” by Jorja Smith.
