The Dallas Mavericks playoff run in 2015 came to an abrupt end when everything appeared to fall apart right before their eyes. Rajon Rondo was essentially kicked off the team, Chandler Parsons got injured and the Houston Rockets ran the Mavericks out of Texas.
As the offseason came, Chandler Parsons tried his hardest to pull DeAndre Jordan away from the Los Angeles Clippers. It ended up working and then failing and his ‘friend’ remained with the Clippers. That wasn’t the only thing Parsons managed to do over the summer, he also reportedly had knee surgery to clean up some issues from the knee injury that ended his season.
Now it appears that Parsons is back and ready to go. He’s expecting to make his season debut on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Parsons missed the Mavericks first two games and although they won their first matchup against the Phoenix Suns, their next game on against the Los Angeles Clippers didn’t go so well.
The Mavs are in a weird place this season. They will either be tanking to keep their top seven protected pick or they will be attempting to win as many games as they can this season and get into the playoffs and try to contend for an NBA championship. The latter of the two options is less likely and if the Mavs keep resting Deron Williams and Wesley Matthews on the second part of the back-to-backs, they might not be doing much winning. Instead, they might end up keeping their pick which could end up working out in their favor.
