Parsons previously played for the Dallas Mavericks.
Parsons was one of the more coveted free agents this summer. Among notable suitors where the Magic, Blazers, and Lakers. The small forward actually met with a Portland contingent before meeting with the Grizzlies. However, it appears the Grizzlies offered him the best chance at signing a max deal while being in a winning situation.
For Memphis, Parsons can be a great addition, especially as a shooter. The Grizzlies have had a need for someone who consistently hits threes at the wings and they have likely found him. The only issue is Parsons’ healthy which is a major question mark. He has struggled with injuries for years and his knee problems could make this massive contract look pretty bad in a few years.
But for now, Chandler Parsons appears to be a near perfect fit for the Memphis Grizzlies.
