Immediately when Kendrick Perkins was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Utah Jazz, there were so many teams excited for this move.
Not because Perk is moving to one of the worst teams in the West but because the Jazz almost immediately made it known that they were discussing a buyout with Kendrick Perkins and making him a free agent. The meanest free agent available.
Now there’s some big names in the Eastern conference that are early favorites to acquire Perkins services.

(Hearing) Bulls and Cavs are clear frontrunners for Kendrick Perkins when buyout with Jazz is finalized.

There is one team that has eliminated themselves from contention to acquire Perkins.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports the following.
While Perkins has an interest in joining the Dallas Mavericks, owner Mark Cuban says his team has no intention of signing the 12-year NBA veteran to a deal.
Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls may not make a ton of sense but going to the Clippers may make more sense. Bulls don’t need to add another guy to the rotation that will make the offense stagnant because you’re not putting the ball into Perkins in the post, unfortunately. Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t making much sense because you seen Kendrick Perkins with LeBron James working well.
They don’t have a nice history.
Los Angeles Clippers, get ready because Perkins might be coming through! Perkins partnering back with Doc Rivers like the good old Boston Celtics days would be perfect for Perk. Plus they need depth on the front-line.
