This summer a blockbuster trade happened between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cleveland Cavaliers traded their 2014 #1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love, a deal that would make the trio of Kevin Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
Analysis: This game although finished in a typical blowout for the Timberwolves who lost 125-104 was a great game with a lot of news to cover. First of all, Andrew Wiggins is getting, really, REALLY good. After having one of the weakest starts to the NBA rookie season, the NBA draft class is starting to turn the corner and Andrew Wiggins is leading the way. He scored 27 points against LeBron James and the Cavs, in order to get revenge on the team that traded him. He got some really good revenge on Kevin Love with this dunk:
Kevin Love, LeBron, and Kyrie combined for 79 points, but the bad news is that the Cleveland Cavaliers now lack even more size. Anderson Varejao left the game with an Achilles tear and will be out for the rest of the season. The Cleveland Cavaliers were already shopping around to find more size to back up Varejao, and now they must be panicking at the fact that they basically have no size in the middle anymore. The Cavs will make a trade VERY soon.
