All the hype for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil is building up, especially when all of the talk about the Team USA mini-camp surrounds it.
The Olympics is not only fun because you get to witness your country compete for a gold medal but the NBA stars get to team up to take on the worlds best players. Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has practiced with Team USA his first action back since undergoing surgery on partially torn patella tendon.
Here’s a little glimpse brought to you by NBA writer Ethan Skolnick.
Oklahoma City Thunder assistant coach and former New Orleans Pelicans head coach Monty Williams is making Carmelo Anthony work on that polished post-up game that Anthony’s developed over the years. I’m sure Carmelo could use the mini-camp as a way to face live bodies for the first time in a longtime which should help him.
Carmelo Anthony will face some issues though still as he will have to re-gain confidence in that knee, but it’s just great to see Carmelo Anthony back playing basketball once again. He will help lead one of the more talented, but younger Team USA rosters in a longtime.
