Carlos Boozer has decided to wait out the NBA market in hopes to secure a new deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. This comes on the heels of reports that Boozer would head overseas for next season.
Boozer, who scored 12 PPG with the Lakers last season, is not the player he once was; however, he could still play a big role in the right situation. His best chance to be signed on will likely be with a contending team looking to add more firepower in the final stretches of the season. If he is able to come off the bench and have a role as the offensive hub of a second unit, he can be a very good addition for such a team.
Boozer is holding off on going overseas to give himself a chance to win [and] one ring, rather than making more money. If he has his way, we will be hearing him yell “Holdat” for at least parts of one more season.
