Should Larry Fitzgerald decide to play football next season it will be in Arizona. Fitzgerald inked an extension with the Cardinals that will keep him on the team through the 2018 season.
It’s official: The #AZCardinals signed WR Larry Fitzgerald to a contract extension that puts him under contract through 2018. If he plays next year, it’ll be with the Cardinals.

The deal was apparently struck with little pomp and circumstance according to Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, “he just signed the deal. I just said ‘Congrats’ and that was about it.” The extension is worth $11 million, the same salary Fitzgerald made in 2015 and 2016.
Through week 10 of the 2017 season he has 1,185 receptions, 15,066 yards, 107 receiving TDs, and 10 Pro Bowl selections. With 141 more catches and 869 yards Fitz could move into second all time in both categories.
Fitzgerald is clearly a Hall of Fame candidate, the only thing missing from his resume is a Super Bowl ring. Of course Fitz was part of the Arizona team that nearly won Super Bowl XLIII in a classic battle against the Steelers, in which he recorded 2 TD receptions.
