The 2020 recruiting class has had another talented guard to make his college decision with the announcement of Caleb Love on Tuesday. He had cut his list down to just North Carolina and Missouri before making his final decision.

Roy Williams has landed his third five-star in the 2020 recruiting class and his first guard. Love will join the long historic line of North Carolina point guards. The top 25 guard makes the Tar Heel class that much better. Love joins Day’Ron Sharpe and Walker Kessler in Carolina’s recruiting class. The Tar Heels are unlikely to end their search for recruits here.
Love is a talented guard in the 2020 class with the ability to play either guard spot, but his 6’3″ height and 170-pound weight would suggest a future playing more point guard. The incoming freshman can score at the college level, but he may need some work on running a college offense. His fellow backcourt member could end up being vital in his success in the NCAA.

North Carolina is looking to add at least one more guard and one to two forwards in the 2020 recruiting class now. There are several options on the table and plenty of time to convince the players. Ziaire Williams and Cade Cunnigham will likely be the top two priorities for the Tar Heels now that they have a point guard locked up.
Love could likely be a two-year prospect or push his way to “one and done” status with his play much like former Tar Heel Coby White. The 2020 recruiting class is beginning to look star-studded for North Carolina.
