As a sophomore guard with the North Carolina Tar Heels, Caleb Love averaged 15.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. His assists per game and points per game finished second on the team this season. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 37.1 percent and a three-point percentage of 36 percent. The Tar Heels played their best and won moe often when Love was playing at a top-level on the court. This might be the biggest return announcement of the 2022 offseason.

Former five-star recruits like Caleb Love would have almost certainly headed to the NBA in this position had NIL deals not entered the picture. Now Love can work on his 2023 NBA Draft position, get one year closer to a college degree, and make an estimated six figures while doing that. He will get the chance to go back to the Final Four and win the 2023 NCAA Championship. There’s just something about the North Carolina Tar Heels and redemption tours.
