HBO is undergoing a bit of change. On Sunday, the premium cable network shared the final episode of Succession. In addition, the network shifted the branding and name of its streaming outlet, Max. Not to mention, there’s an ongoing writers’ strike that will impact the development of content. With all of that going on, the network remains in an interesting space. This month, HBO set up the release of its next true crime documentary series, Burden of Proof.
“When 15-year-old Jennifer Pandos went missing in 1987, her parents told everyone she ran away. Decades later, her brother Stephen begins a relentless odyssey in search of the truth. His investigation into the case threatens to destroy his family as he becomes strongly convinced that his parents are both implicated in the crime,” the series description reads.
“As time passes, more threads unravel and new evidence comes to light, Stephen starts to question everything he has come to believe.”
HBO is set to roll out its latest foray into true crime documentaries on June 6, 2023. Until then, check out the trailer below.
