Houston’s own B has collaborated with Antone’s restaurant in Houston to create a chicken sandwich that will combat hunger and food waste. The two parties have created the brand new, Hot Wang Sandwich. Proceeds from each sale of the sandwich will benefit the Second Servings Charity which works to fight widespread hunger and food waste. The Hot Wang Sandwich is an $8.95 po’ boy that is made up of a fried chicken breast with buffalo sauce, bacon and much more.
Bun B told ABC 13 in Houston, “We’ve been getting a lot of demand for the sandwich, we’re turning over a lot of sandwiches and, you know, raising money for a good cause.”
He added, “It goes towards a good thing and I thought I could come up with a good concept for a sandwich and I think we did a good idea.”
Chef Alex Padilla of Antone’s said, “It’s all for a good reason.”
Those in the greater Houston area can grab a sandwich right now. As reported by ABC 13 in Houston, the sandwich will be available until the end of September.
