Bryson Tiller is one of the hottest names in hip-hop right now. Just a year ago the 23 year old Louisville, Kentucky native was virtually unknown, but has since burst onto the scene and is definitely making his mark. Tiller’s sound really sets him apart, uniquely blending rap, R&B, and trap into a evolutionary genre. His career started off strong after receiving early co-signs from Timbaland and Drake. Tiller was recently offered a deal with OVO, but ended up signing an even better offer from RCA.
After releasing his first album “T R A P S O U L” in early October 2015, Tiller started making big waves across the internet. Prior to the album’s release, Tiller put out his hit single “Don’t” via his Soundcloud in late 2014. It now has 36 million plays, and an accompanying music video which has racked up 66 million views on YouTube. A Trapsoul tour was announced in in December, with dates throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Earlier this week Tiller played two sold out shows at NYC’s Webster Hall. Fans went crazy for the young singer-songwriter, prompting two Radio City Music Hall dates to be added onto the end of his tour. Both Radio City shows have already sold out. Tiller recently appeared on Hot 97’s “Ebro In The Morning” and when asked about playing such a storied venue as Radio City he replied “Last year was my first time ever going to a show so I don’t know how big of a deal it is to sell out Radio City…but my manager tells me all the time that it’s like a big deal for a new artist”. The young artist seemed extremely humble. Not only playing but selling out Radio City Music Hall with only one album to your name is virtually unheard of.
Such a quick rise to stardom has come at a cost for the early Bryson Tiller fans. His entire Trapsoul Tour is sold out with the exception of one date. Bryson Tiller tickets on the secondary market are far from cheap. His two night run at Webster Hall had an average resale price of $126. If you’re willing to fork over the cash, go see him, you will not be disappointed.
