Hyde has been the no.1 running back for the 49ers the previous two seasons, falling just short of 1,000 yards and set a career high for touchdowns last season with 8. However, for every good game Hyde has, he has an equal number of terrible games. It is this inconsistency that holds Hyde back from being one of the more sought-after running backs in the league.
Though Hyde definitely has potential to carry the load for a team, many people still believe that the Browns will use their first pick on Penn State running back Saquon Barkley. The Browns have the first and fourth overall picks in the NFL Draft and have a number of options on what to do with them. A quarterback is a must, but many see Barkley as the best player in the draft and franchise changing running back.
It has been a busy few days for the Browns. They made huge trades to acquire wide receiver Jarvis Landry and quarterback Tyrod Taylor as well as signing many other players during the beginning of free agency.
The Browns had an awful year in 2017, but the moves they are making this offseason seem to be moving the team in the right direction. No one is brave enough to say the Browns will make the playoffs this year, but if they play their cards right, maybe something good will happen in the years to come. If anything, they can create enough buzz within Cleveland to fill the stadium.
