
Boston Red Sox second baseman, Brock Holt has hit for the first cycle in postseason history. The Red Sox slaughtered the New York Yankees 16-1, Holt went 4-6 at the place with 5 RBI’s in Game Three alone. Holt is now in his own category as the only player to ever hit for the cycle in the postseason.

In 2018, Holt played in 109 games, hitting .277 with 46 RBI’s for the Red Sox, he played some outfield and second base with the injury to Dustin Pedroia and prior to the Red Sox’s trade for Ian Kinsler. Holt’s cycle came with four hits off of four different pitchers. He hit his 2-run home run in the ninth inning which set the league record for runs scored against a team in the postseason.
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Yankees giving them a 2-1 series lead, they are looking to finish off the series with a win against the Yankees to move onto the ALCS to face the Houston Astros. The Astros defeated the Indians today completing the sweep, so they await the winner between the Red Sox and Yankees.
