At this point of her career, Britney Spears has now reached the status of Pop icon as she serves as an inspiration for many new acts that wish to have even a fraction of her success. With 8 studio albums under her belt, Britney Spears was a trailblazer among the Pop music scene in the late 90s and 2000s. With all that she has achieved and accomplished in her illustrious career, it’s only fitting that the star was selected to receive the Billboard Millennium Award at tonight’s award show. Joining the likes of Beyonce and the legendary Whitney Houston in holding the honor, Spears finds herself in great company.
