Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has reportedly filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to create Hardworking Americans Inc. The political action committee will allow Kemp to generate the financial backing needed to support his political allies and boost his profile nationally. Emma Hurt of Axios has also indicated that the PAC could be used to spark a campaign for Senate in 2026 against incumbent Jon Ossoff.
“It’s also paved the way for speculation about his future national ambitions. The new PAC could set Kemp up for a federal run, including for U.S. Senate. Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) will be defending his seat in 2026, the same year Kemp’s gubernatorial term will end,” Hurt stated.
In early November, Kemp secured a sizeable victory against Stacey Abrams in the latest Georgia gubernatorial race. More recently, he has turned his focus toward Herschel Walker. Ahead of Walker’s runoff election against incumbent Raphael Warnock, Kemp appeared in an ad for the potential Senator.
“We’re all in to help get Herschel over the goal line and keep Georgia red for years to come,” Cody Hall, advisor to Governor Brian Kemp, told Axios.
As Walker makes his final push to dethrone Warnock, Kemp’s newly launched PAC could also be used to help the former college football star.
