More from Wojnarowski.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have reached agreement to trade guard Reggie Jackson to the Detroit Pistons in a multi-team trade that will send Utah Jazz center Enes Kanter to the Thunder, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
As part of the trade, the Thunder will send center Kendrick Perkins to the Jazz, sources told Yahoo. The Thunder also will get guards DJ Augustin and Kyle Singler from the Pistons, sources said.
This is a part of a 3-team deal involving Reggie Jackson being sent to the Detroit Pistons.
The Thunder also acquire a sharpshooter in Steve Novak from the Utah Jazz in the deal.
This makes the Thunder bench immediately stronger and fills in some holes they had with perimeter shooting in Singler and Novak. They get a solid reserve point guard in D.J. Augustin who has proven his work coming off the bench and in Kanter they get size, strength and a little bit of a mean streak to go along with the already mean guys they have in Steven Adams and Serge Ibaka.
This immediately puts all teams in the Western Conference on notice because the Thunder don’t lose any of their great young pieces like Jeremy Lamb, Perry Jones and Mitch McGary but they do get better by far.
