Look for NBA commissioner Adam Silver to name Portland's Damian Lillard as Griffin's injury replacement for the All-Star Game

Reminder: It's up to Silver to pick who replaces Blake Griffin in the All-Star Game, then up to Steve Kerr to choose who starts in his place

Hopefully Griffin has a speedy recovery and will be back on the court soon. Initial projection is he will be out 4-6 weeks.
This definitely opens the door for Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard to be put in the NBA All-Star game to be an injury replacement for Griffin.
Considering the fact that Lillard was overlooked in favor of DeMarcus Cousins the first time that there was an injury replacement due to the shoulder injury to Kobe Bryant, it looks like Lillard will be able to be an All-Star.
It will be interesting to see if Lillard accepts it though, since he famously was ‘pissed’ about not being an All-Star.
