Rest is for the weak! That’s what Brandy Haze is trying to tell the world of R&B. At least, that’s what it seems. After releasing two projects earlier this year, she is already doubling back with more new music.
Being in Los Angeles, Brandy Haze has an endless supply of material to pull from, especially when it comes to dating and searching for love. Backed by production from Andrew “Druski” Scott, she documents the positives and negatives of dating in a social environment where personal convenience is prioritized above loyalty and commitment.
“I could be yours or whatever you call it,” she sings.
“Your company [is what] I live for, but [you’re] the only one here that I doubt. Oh, I could be yours or whatever we call this and I might want to claim you, but I ain’t trying to get called out.”
“Simple” is the punctuation of a major year for Brandy Haze. Not only has she released “Simple,” but she’s also released three other singles and two EPs, Sad Girl Season and LA Fling. Not to mention, she worked on Cordae’s new album, The Crossroads. 2025 promises to be a major year for the emerging singer from Chino Hills.
