Brandon Jennings has essentially been tossed aside since he suffered a season-ending achilles injury two seasons ago. During his stint with the Detroit Pistons, Jennings went down with an injury and ever since he’s been a second option. He was sent to the bench in favor of Reggie Jackson and then he was traded. When he went to the Orlando Magic as a part of the Tobias Harris deal, Jennings was once again relegated to the bench behind guard Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo.
His production drastically dropped in his 48 games played last season. Still, despite the drop Jennings has earned a deal with a team looking for some bench scoring. The New York Knicks have reportedly agreed to a deal with Jennings.

Jennings joins New York and will once again be on the bench but his role will be bigger than before. He’s immediately the best reserve option for the Knicks in what expects to be a sixth man role.
With the Knicks agreeing to acquire Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Courtney Lee, the addition in Jennings is just another step in the Knicks overhaul.
