The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a contract extension with their 2019 draft pick Brandon Clarke before the Monday afternoon deadline. The deal is for four years and a total of $52 million, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of Priority Sports, told ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.

During the offseason, Memphis wanted to bring back all the players that helped them reach a second seed in the Western Conference. Ja Morant, Steven Adams and John Konchar signed contract extensions during the summer.
Clarke has been the definition of consistency in his three-year career with the Grizzlies and has been an amazing role player. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, he ranked top-five in categories like second-chance points, paint points, and offensive rebounds. In the postseason, he led the league with 3.1 offensive rebounds per game among qualifying players with at least 10 games played.
He has played 181 games for the Grizzlies, starting in 21 of those, and with career*averages of 10.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 21.9 minutes per game.
The Grizzlies will start the season on Wednesday receiving the New York Knicks in the FedEx Forum.
