Finally, some good news comes from the situation after it was reported that Ortiz has been released from the Boston hospital after sustaining gun shot wounds from an alleged “hit” back in the Dominican Republic.
It has been confirmed that he was released and will continue his rehab at home with the aid of nurses and a personal physician. Ortiz underwent multiple surgeries in the aftermath of the shooting which caused him to be flown to Boston by the Red Sox organization to receive the best care possible.

The most recent of Ortiz’s operations took place on July 11th and he has now been released and cleared to continue his rehab at home as mentioned above. The initial shooting took place on June 9th in the Dominican Republic when the Red Sox legend was reportedly the target of a paid hit. More news came out proving that Ortiz was not the true target and eventually the true nature of the incident came out.
