The past couple years the celtics have been going through a little bit of a struggle lately. Now some more bad news has occurred as Vitor Faverani will be out for 6-8 weeks after having surgery on his left knee. The procedure was to clean up inflammation and help doctors get a better look at Faverani’s left meniscus.
With Faverani out, the celtics will seek help however they need. They may let him go, and look for someone who can contribute, because that’s who they need. In his rookie season Faverani played 37 games, averaging 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting just 43.5 percent from the floor.
