Last year proved to be a breakout year for California’s own, Boogie. Building from his 2015 hit, “Oh My”, the rising artist made waves last year by joining Shady Records. Boogie also made an appearance on Eminem’s BET Awards Hip-Hop cypher and dropped a few new loose tracks along the way. With 2019 in full swing, Boogie has decided to get things going with some new music.
Boogie took Tuesday night to drop some new music out of the blue. Boogie’s new track, “Silent Night”, has a smooth feel with heavy flute instrumentation. Throughout the record, Boogie offers the story of a man who is separate from his own world and lost in his thoughts. Boogie raps, “I know I’m wrong but let me slide/Uh, Yes I ain’t right before I ride/Just tell the world but I’m dead inside/The ride was long, I slept for five/She got my phone, I’m petrified/She read my text, I read her mind.”
The new track from the Shady Records artist serves as the first record from his upcoming album, Everything’s For Sale. The new album will mark his first project with his new label and will be released on January 25th. In the meantime, check out “Silent Ride”.
