Hip-hop groups Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia to host a song battle on Instagram Live.
As the VERZUZ battles presented on Instagram Live by Timbaland and Swizz Beats continue to pick up steam, several artists have taken to their own platforms for live sessions and friendly competition. This is the call answered by rap groups Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia who announced they are going hit-for-hit on Instagram.
“Celebrating over 50 combined years of hits,” writes Krayzie Bone on Instagram, announcing the event with a title fight themed flyer.
Together, both rap groups have an undeniable placement in Hip-Hop culture and have pioneered sounds and trends throughout the industry. For fans, it is certain to be a close one. Along with the battle, limited edition merchandise is available for purchase, commemorating the digital event.
Both groups were due to make moves this year. Before the coronavirus pandemic paralyzed industry events, Three 6 Mafia planned a 2020 reunion tour across the United States. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony recently rebranded as the ‘Boneless Thugs‘ in a fun, partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings.
Pitting Cleveland against Memphis, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony takes on Three 6 Mafia on Thursday, April 30 at 8 PM EST.
