Looks like rapper Bobby Shmurda will remain in jail after his $2 million bail package was pulled today (Feb. 4). Spokeswoman Kati Cornell states “It’s our understanding that the suretor has withdrawn and that no hearing is currently rescheduled.”
Shmurda’s lawyer Kenneth Montgomery confirmed that the bail arrangement was put on hold for the moment. “We’re trying to do a new bond application and are in the process in figuring that out,” Montgomery states. “We’re hoping to get it done within the next week,” he added.
Mr. Montgomery also went on to add that the $2 million bail is “ridiculous,” and challenged Bobby Shmurda’s role within GS9. “Bobby is not claimed to have shot anyone, he has no dealer weight on him,” he said. “It’s simply a gun case and phone conversations.”
Only time will tell if Young Shmurda will see the light of day soon. We will keep you posted as more develops.
