Judge James Burke announced Wednesday morning (April 22) that hearing dates for the trials of Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel have been set for June 25th. Attorney Javier Solano, who represents Rebel, is asking for the two to be tried in the first group of hearings — since there is such a large group of defendants two groups have to be tried separately.
When asked to include Solano and Montgomery’s clients in the first group, Judge Burke replied, “My guess is Mr. Marshall will be case number one.”
Chad Marshall (Rowdy Rebel) and Ackquille Pollard (Bobby Shmurda) arrived to court at 11 a.m. today. Marshall was a bit more cavalier when he stuck his tongue out and smiled at a group of supporters, who laughed at his antics. Pollard was restrained and made eye contact with everyone in the courtroom.
The two are being held on a $2 million bail, which Kenneth Montgomery has been trying to fight since day one.
