Currently, the Cowboys are trying to solve their TE rotation in the upcoming free agency. Their starter Dalton Schultz is a free agent in the summer there will be suitors for him, the Cowboys want him back as well. Their third-string Tight End Jeremy Sprinkle is also a free agent and Jarwin’s injury complicates the situation.
Jarwin, undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, is still under contract for two more years but the Cowboys can release him for $2 million and saving some cap space or restructure his contract.
Jarwin has had trouble staying healthy since signing his second contract in Dallas. In the 2020 season, he suffered a torn ACL and in the most recent season, he missed nine games with a hip injury.
In 2021, he finished with 11 receptions, 96 yards, and two touchdowns.
