Former Vice President Joe Biden moved to cancel upcoming campaign events in the state of Texas after a traffic incident. The campaign said that a pro-Trump caravan surrounded his bus and attempted to “run it off the road.”
Video of the incident shows a group of cars with “Trump 2020” flags speeding up to the bus on the highway and attempting to surrounding it. At one point, a white truck appears to hit another car en route to surrounding Biden’s bus. Afterward, Biden staffers called the police and requested a police caravan escort them to their next location safely. As a result, Biden’s team moved to cancel all events “out of an abundance of caution.”
“Rather than engage in productive conversation about the drastically different visions that Joe Biden and Donald Trump have for our country, Trump supporters in Texas today instead decided to put our staff, surrogates, supporters, and others in harm’s way,” Biden staffer Tariq Thowfeek said.
Hours after the incident took place, President Donald Trump seemingly responded to the incident by tweeting, “I love Texas.”
President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will face off one last time on Election Day as they vie to take the White House.
