Beyonce made headlines this week after a viral clip of her at the Golden State Warriors and Raptors game circulated.
Beyonce’s fans attacked Nicole Curran, the wife of Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob, on social media for leaning over the singer to talk to JAY-Z.
The Beyhive took to Curran’s Instagram account and flooded her page with bee emojis. This prompted Curran to delete her account.
Before removing her account, she commented on a picture addressing the situation. She stated,
“I respect Queen B. I love her! I talked to her husband twice tonight. First, to take a drink order for them both when they arrived as they were our guests. Second, to explain why I gave his wife a rose from a fan.” She continued, “all of this has been taken out of context. I am a happily married woman. Telling me to kill myself?????? Somehow I don’t think she would support this.”
She also spoke to ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne about the incident. She told Shelburne that she received several death threats, which left her in tears.
Now, Beyonce’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure has commented on the situation. She reflected on the love she experienced on the OTRII tour with Beyonce and JAY-Z, then stated,
“I know your love runs deep but that love has to be given to every human. It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name. We love you. ? ? ?”
