Nearly a year has passed since Beyoncé delivered her latest studio album, Renaissance. Since the album arrived on streaming services, fans have eagerly awaited the project’s accompanying visuals. While rumors regarding the release of the album’s visuals haven’t slowed down, the chart-topping star hasn’t offered any indication as to when they will arrive. During the opening night of her world tour, she seemingly clapped back at all of the critics who have desperately awaited the release of the project’s accompanying visuals.
“I know you hear me,” a pre-recorded message reads on stage during a portion of her live show.
“You’ve asked for the visuals. You’ve called for the queen. But a queen moves at her own pace, b*tch! [The queen] decides when she wants to give you a f*cking taste.”
Video from the tour’s opening night quickly circulated and put fans on notice. The visuals will arrive when she feels they are ready to be released. While fans will have to wait an indefinite period to receive those visuals, fans seemed to be thoroughly pleased with the tour’s opening night. In front of more than 60,000 fans in Sweden, she performed previous tracks like “Drunk In Love” and more recent tracks like “Cozy.”
“Beyoncé set design & concert visuals are next f*cking level, my goodness,” one fan tweeted.
“I’m sorry but Beyoncé is definitely the best performer alive,” another fan added.
The Renaissance Tour will return to Friends Arena in Stockholm on Thursday before venturing out into the rest of Europe later this month and in June.
