Beyonce has allegedly refused to hand over her private text messages with her husband JAY-Z and mother Tina Knowles, in connection with the ‘Blue Ivy’ trademark dispute.
The singer filed a trademark for the name ‘Blue Ivy Carter’ which is the name of her JAY-Z’s firstborn daughter, back in 2017. According to The Blast, after Beyonce filed the trademark, “Veronica Morales, the owner of a wedding planning company named Blue Ivy, filed to oppose the singer’s application, demanding the pop star not allowed to trademark the name.”
Morales, whose wedding planning company has been around three years prior to Blue Ivy’s birth, has requested “a list of documents and communications from Beyoncé in their trademark battle.” Morales is requesting proof that Beyonce had planned on using the trademark.
The pop star and her team have refused to hand over any documents. The publication also reports that Beyonce has demanded a protective order to prohibit Morales or her legal team from leaking any confidential information.
In addition, Morales has been accused of trying to sell her company for $10 million to Beyonce, in which Morales denies.
