At this point of her illustrious career, there’s many names and attributes that can be used when discussing Beyonce. From the launch of her debut studio album, Dangerously In Love, to the surprise release that shocked the world and broke the internet with BEYONCE, the singer has steadily improved herself in every phase of her artistry. Now, looking to start off the new year on a high note, Beyonce is set to make even more noise thanks to her “Formation World Tour” that has already set new heights from the superstar before its official kick-off in April.
Officially going on sale last week, it was previously reported that Queen Bey had sold almost 1 million tickets within the first day of tickets going on sale to the general public. Selling out various dates with ease, the demand was more than present for the songstress to add additional dates to the world tour. With the numbers starting to pour in even further, Billboard has reported that the ‘Formation’ singer has already banked $100 million thanks to the widely successful ticket sales.
Formation has already sold out two New York shows (June 7-8 at Citi Field), two London show (July 203 at Wembley Stadium), and just added a second Chicago night (May 27-28 at Soldier Field). Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, San Diego, Miami, Baltimore, Atlanta, Houston, and Santa Clara, Calif., are all clean, and others are headed that way. Even Nashville’s Nissan Stadium date May 5, which went on sale to the general public this morning amid the local police union’s call for a boycott due to a perceived anti-police message in Beyonce’s performance at Super Bowl 50 halftime, is strong out of the box, with sales standing at over 33,000 for a gross of $4 million. Overall, the 39-date tour, which begins April 27 at Marlins Field in Miami, has already taken in over $100 million in ticket sales, with Beyonce inevitably headed toward a sold-out run and one of the hottest tours of 2016.
At this point, many must be thinking there’s not much left for Beyonce to conquer within the music circuit. One to always push herself, there’s no denying that the singer’s forthcoming album is one for the record books. As far as the “Formation World Tour,” this is definitely not the concert to miss.
