It may be hard to believe, but we’re already more than eight months into the new year. A Super Bowl champion has been crowned, the Olympics have passed and summer is almost over. Wow, things have really gone by quickly. In the midst of all that has happened, one thing has been constant, great music.
Some of the best artists have been delivering quality music with high replay value. Vocalists like Jazmine Sullivan, Leon Bridges, Dawn Richard, Joyce Wrice and several others have handed their fans album of the year contenders. In rap, things haven’t been much different. Vince Staples dropped his self-titled project, Isaiah Rashad met expectations with The House Is Burning, J. Cole topped the charts with The Off-Season and Tyler, The Creator has earned GRAMMY buzz with Call Me If You Get Lost. One project that should not be forgotten is Benny The Butcher’s The Plugs I Met II. With features from Fat Joe, Jim Jones and French Montana, the New York native started of the year in a big way. Now, he’s back with another project, Pyrex Picasso.
Less than a year after delivering The Plugs I Met II, Benny The Butcher has dropped a new EP called Pyrex Picasso. As usual, the bar game is heavy and only true lyricists were allowed on the track. Throughout the EP, Conway The Machine and El Camino make appearances. Rick Hyde also adds a few jewels. Check out the full project below and get ready for a strong end-of-year run from Griselda.
