Ben Simmons was the top prospect in the 2016 NBA Draft for a pretty long time. The talent out of Australia came over to the United States and played for prep school powerhouse Monteverde Academy and was teammates with Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell. After his high school success, he went to LSU, hit a bumpy road, but eventually made it out. Got drafted number one overall by the Philadelphia 76ers but unfortunately, right now he’s sidelined with a serious foot injury.
That’s just the basics of Simmons journey. In his new ‘SHOWTIME’ documentary ‘One & Done’, set to premiere on November 4th, the Aussie takes everyone behind-the-scenes through his journey to the NBA. From leaving Australia to his high school success, through his anger with the NCAA and even the process leading up to draft night, you can see it all.
