Two-time NBA All-Star and former first-overall draft pick Ben Simmons has been out of action since suffering a back injury against the Milwaukee Bucks last month. After being re-evaluated, Simmons is not yet ready to make his return to the Philadelphia 76ers and will be re-evaluated in three weeks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Selected for his second NBA All-Star team this season, Simmons is averaging 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game in his 54 appearances for Philadelphia.
While Simmons and his Sixers teammate Joel Embiid were both all-star selections and have enjoyed individual success this season, Philadelphia has largely failed to live up to expectations. As one of the preseason favorite teams to win the Eastern Conference, the Sixers have attained a record of 38-26 and are currently the East’s six seed. The Sixers will hope to regain the services of Ben Simmons soon as to not slide down the rankings any further as the playoffs are rapidly approaching.
